Class Description Overview

First Aid/CPR/AED (Adult/Child/Pediatric)

Helps participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach the knowledge and skills needed to give immediate care to an injured or ill person and to decide whether advanced medical care is needed.

Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Administration

Anaphylaxis and Epinephrine Auto-Injector Administration teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of a severe allergic reaction and respond quickly and effectively in an emergency. The course provides hands-on training in the proper use of epinephrine auto-injectors (such as EpiPen®), including when and how to administer them, safety precautions, and the importance of calling emergency services immediately.

Babysitting Clases

The Babysitting course provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills, proper care, and what to do in a medical emergency. This class can be combined with First Aid/CPR/AED.

Asthma and Quick-Relief Medication Administration

Asthma and Quick-Relief Medication Administration teaches participants how to identify asthma symptoms and respond appropriately during an asthma attack. The course provides instruction on the proper use of inhalers and nebulizers, including correct techniques and dosage timing, recognizing when emergency medical care is needed, and supporting individuals in managing their condition safely at home, at work, or in community settings.

Bloodborne Pathogens

This teaches participants how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course helps to meet requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, participants should talk with their employer about their workplace’s specific policies and procedures. 

Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Administration 

Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Administration teaches participants how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose and respond quickly to save a life. The course covers the safe and effective use of naloxone (Narcan), including when and how to administer it. The training empowers individuals to act confidently and responsibly in opioid-related emergencies.

Blended Learning Classes
The Blended Learning Classes have basic information taught On-Line and the skill portion is practiced in a classroom setting. The On-Line portion takes 3 – 4 hours to complete and can be done anytime. Proof of completion of the On-Line portion is required to attend the skill portion.
